Ragnarok is a piece of theatre that cannot be discribed is’s a mix between the happening, the performance and the show, where juge costumearrangements and dramatic incidents around the street corners plays an important part. One cannot be anything else than fascinated by the strange, and violant visual sensation and of the anarchistic creativity that STELLA POLARIS shows.

"Wildes Gaukler-Spektakel vor dem Rathaus". Das norwegische Strassentheater STELLA POLARIS sorgte fur den grosses Aufsehen. Als Bruntland ihre Rede fast beendet hat, gibt es noch einmal Aufregund um Lærm auf dem Marktplatz manche Sicherheitskrafte furchten gar Krawall, kønnen dann jedoch schmunzelnd augatdann jedoch schmunzelnd aufatmen: Grellbundte, zum Teil maskierte Gaukler des norwegischen Strassentheatrs STELLA POLARIS hupfen, springen und tanzen ubers Plfaster - barfuss oder gar aug Stelzen. Ein schriller Auftritt mit scheppernder Blasmusik, witzigen Narren Kostumen und eigenartigen Phantasie Tieren mit langen Zæhnen. Ob das wohl vorher so geplant war? Norwegische Festtimmung unter Øcher Sonne.
Es War vielleicht die Schrecksekunde des Tages: Wahrend Karlspreistragerin Gro Harlem Bruntdtland im Krønungssaal spricht, dringt Geschrei, Trommelgeschepper und Fanfarenklang in ehrwurdige Gemauer: Randale ouf dem Markt! Wann hat man eine Hundertschaft Sicherheitsbeamter in dezentem Grau mit "Knopf" im Ohr und ausgebeulter Hufte schon einmal einen schenelleren Kollektivstart hinlegen sehen, als an diesem sonnenuberflutenen Mittag ouf der Rathaustreppe? Was als Chatoten Truppe vermutet wurde, stellte sich als fur diesen Karlspreis so typischer Farbtupfer heraus. Das Strassentheater STELLA POLARIS schon bei der Olympiaeroffniung in Lillehammer beeindruchende Teilnehmer begrusste seine soeben europeisch dekorierte Ministterpresidentin mit folkloristischem Applaus...........

JESTERS, BY THE MERCY OF GOD!
THE JESTERS FANTASY OF THE KARNEVAL!
Thanks a lot Spildra Borg, Borgemoen and Tveite. What a great adventure, and all the troubadours, musicians, ravens, wolves, acrobats, bishops, virgins and the children gave the best of themselves for hundreds of feast mooded inhabitans of Tønsberg. STELLA POLARIS, led by Spildra Borg accompanied of local amateurs presented the fable-this performance will set up Tønsberg of the stronger Cultural towns in Norway. This performance could have been played in Verona, Firenze or possibly Rio de Janeiro. The mix of Commedia del Arte, circus, carneval, mytic storytelling and strong street acting is almost genial.The audience were lucky to have a dramatic, entertaining and engaging time. The vigorousity of the actors almost took the breath out of us. We were specially impressed by the breathless tempo and the powerfull endurance of the leading actor Asgeir Borgemoen.
